My first iPhone video of FINS.

LI photo of the day. Went old school (that wasn’t too long ago) with Fuji color reversal film and a Nikon FE. Looking forward to comparing the prints to the digital also taken.

Went out to see how the Le Papillion was faring the Fire Island beach.  The sailboat has been on the beach for over a week.  Someone sealed all the hatched and portals with plywood covers and people are scavenging souvenirs from the wreck.

FINS Lighthouse.  Scanned FUJI instant-film, shot with a 30+ year old Polaroid Land Camera that I bought for .50 cents and cleaned up.  The replacement battery cost $15.  There is something great about seeing the picture on paper moments after clicking the shutter —- not just on a LCD screen…  Analog might not be as sharp, but it has character.  You see the “decisive moment” as it really occurred, not with post production after thoughts.

Engine at low tide. FINS, Long Island, NY.

The tide was very low exposing this abandoned rusted 8 cylinder engine. I wonder how it got here and how long has it been buried in the sand? If not for the really low tide— it might have gone unnoticed.

Taken with iPhone.
